I
got my first rabbit when I was 7. My father took
me to a friend of his that raised Dutch rabbits,
and my journey began. Tinker and Peter taught me
more about life, how babies are made.. and death
then any book could have ever taught me. My
father would let the rabbits run in the yard and
I learned animal behavior, when it was time to
gather them again for their cages. We didn't
show but did breed and sold the bunnies for meat
and pets.
When my own boys were young I decided I wanted
them to have the rabbit experience. This was
over 25yrs ago. I bought some show quality Rex
and we were off. Living in Kansas City we were
close to many shows, and not far from Sedalia
MO, where the big shows where. We showed with
the ARBA, and the boys showed in 4-H. We were
the first to show Lilac Rex at Sedalia. Blues
were my passion, but we had some good blacks
too. We had 2 house rabbits and the rest lived
in the rabbit barn.
After a divorce.. limited finances and having to
move to Iowa, the rabbits were left behind with
friends. It would be many years before rabbits
would enter my life again. My oldest son was 25,
and it was my birthday. I told him I wanted a
Champaign D'Argent, and ask if he would go with
me to pick it up. He e-mailed me back saying he
had done some research and he believed that
Flemish Giants were the ideal pets, and he would
like one too. So off we drove at 4.00 a gallon
gas on a hot day in June to a breeder 6 hours
away. Chris came home with Bucky, I came home
with Ivy and neither of us have been sorry about
the choice. Bucky lives with Chris in another
home. He will be the buck that Ivy is eventually
bred to. Ivy lives here on
One Sky
Ranch with dogs, chickens.. and just about
anything else that wonders in.
Im as of this writing considering expanding my
rabbitry to hold Blacks as well as Sandys. When
people request other colors I do have them
available from a very respectable breeder in
Iowa. I will have to drive to go get them.
I have to offer, Sandy, Light gray, Fawn, Black,
and White.

There are two ways to get rabbits from me.
Basic Package
1) Order your bunnies and wait for an available
litter. Your bunny will be shipped no sooner
than 10 weeks. From my home, I only offer Sandy
at this time. Next litter expected in October
2008
Bunnies are 50.00-75.00 plus shipping, air
create, health certificate and fuel.
(Home pick up welcome- does not include anything
but a well handled tame rabbit)
Home pick up is 50.00 - 75.00

Deluxe Package
2) Allow me to pick up your rabbit or bunny from
a reputable breeder I know and trust. with no
wait. I only use
one breeder.. if he doesn't have what you are looking
for.. I will not use another breeder. His
rabbits are that good, and that healthy. I will
then either bring the rabbit home, start
handling him for you ( as they are caged raised
and not handled from the other breeder) I will
leash train, and potty train your bunny for you,
then ship him to you using Continental Air
Lines. Continental has heated or air conditioned
compartments for pets, lay overs for food and
water etc. They are very good. Do not ask me to
use another air line.. I will not.
Your rabbit or bunny will come with
A create that will suit him as an adult
1lb of Purina show rabbit feed
water and feed dish that fits in his create.
pedigree (rabbits are not registered until 6

state. ( I can do this for instate buyers for a
24.00 charge)
